An Easter Eggstravaganza!

Technically this was Callum's second Easter, but he was too young---and I was too preoccupied with waddling around and mastitis---to really notice Easter last year, so it was as if this was the first.  We celebrated with several events of note.

Callum's First Easter Egg Hunt
Our friends from church had an Easter Egg Hunt at their home, and Callum was lucky enough to get to take part.  He didn't get it.  At all.  But it was still fun.  He would pick up one egg and carry it across the yard, where he would put it down and pick up another one.  He ended up coming home with one egg total, but he sure did enjoy watching all of the other kids running around!

Easter Village at Purina Farms
We went out to Purina Farms for their Easter Village, which consisted of a baby animal petting zoo.  Callum really enjoyed petting the animals and seeing the dogs running around, but we didn't stay long because it was just too exhausting to be there with him in the crowd.  He wanted to run around, but it was crazy crowded so we had to try to force him to let us hold him.  Ugh.  The drive was more than twice as long as the amount of time that we stayed, so we may have to think long and hard about going again next year, but in the meantime Callum got to pet some baby bunnies and chicks, which was adorable.
Look at that expression of pure joy on Callum's face!  What, you might ask, would bring such an expression to a baby's face?  A cow.  Naturally.

A Girls' Night Peeps Party!
The Peep Partiers: Danelle Rowley, Jessica Haslam, Andi Smith (maker of the insanely adorable Peeps banner), Ashley Sansom, Rita Funk, Myself, Marie Newman, and Ann Brown.

This activity had nothing to do with Callum.  It was all for me.  :)  My friend Jessica Haslam had an idea for a Peeps Party, and we were throwing it together at the last minute so it evolved into a girls' night.  It was super fun!  Jess and I spent the day making cute---and yummy---peeps treats, and then we just ate and chatted the night away with girls from church.  We plan to do it again next year!
Jess and I are so proud of our spread!
This is a rather cute---though, truth be told, not as yummy---new take on marshmallows and hot chocolate.

Seriously-he is such a doll in his little man suit-I love it! Sydney still loves anything that has to do with farm animals...petting zoos, pony rides...you name it! Oh, and the peeps are adorable, but I have never been able to eat one! The pics look great, though! :)

Is that a peep floating in a cup of water? Man, that is hard core peep-love. Those pictures of Cal at the petting farm are UNBELIEVABLE!
